Terms of Service
These Terms & Conditions apply to all enrolments in the 12-Month New Starter Programme at TR Martial Arts. By enrolling, you agree to complete your chosen payment option in full and to follow the policies outlined below.
1.1 The New Starter Programme is a fixed-term, 12-month enrolment designed to provide structured martial arts training.
1.2 Programme fees are non-refundable once payment has been made or a payment plan has started.
1.3 Fees cover tuition only; uniforms, gradings, seminars, and equipment are not included unless specifically stated.
1.4 Family discounts, if available, apply only at the point of enrolment and cannot be applied retroactively.
1.5 TR Martial Arts may adjust class times, locations, or instructors if necessary. This does not affect your financial commitment.
Full fee of £1,033 is due at enrolment.
Once paid, no refunds, transfers, or credits are available.
Total fee of £1,033, paid in three monthly instalments of £344.33.
First instalment due at enrolment; subsequent instalments collected automatically on the same date in following months.
All three instalments must be completed, regardless of attendance or withdrawal.
Total fee of £1,033, paid as a £249 enrolment deposit followed by 9 monthly payments of £87.11
Payments are collected automatically each month by the agreed method.
This is a fixed-term 9-month commitment. All payments must be completed in full, regardless of attendance, absence, or withdrawal.
Early cancellation of the plan is not permitted.
3.1 Membership cannot be paused, frozen, or refunded for holidays, absences, or short-term breaks.
3.2 In cases of medical injury or illness lasting 6 weeks or more (with medical evidence), TR Martial Arts may, at its discretion, extend training or apply a credit for future use.
4.1 TR Martial Arts follows UK safeguarding legislation and has a Designated Safeguarding Officer.
4.2 All instructors are DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding procedures.
4.3 Children must be collected promptly; persistent late collection may result in additional charges or suspension.
4.4 Parents may observe from designated viewing areas where available, but must not disrupt classes.
5.1 Martial arts is a physical activity and carries inherent risks. Students train at their own risk under qualified instruction.
5.2 Parents/students must disclose any injuries, illnesses, or conditions that may affect training. TR Martial Arts is not liable for injuries resulting from undisclosed conditions.
5.3 TR Martial Arts maintains full public liability and member-to-member insurance.
5.4 TR Martial Arts is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
6.1 Students must arrive on time, wear the correct uniform, and show respect to instructors and fellow students.
6.2 Bullying, aggression, or misconduct may result in suspension or termination of membership (fees remain payable).
6.3 Students must follow instructor directions at all times for safety.
7.1 Gradings are not guaranteed and are awarded at the discretion of TR Martial Arts instructors.
7.2 Grading fees are separate and must be paid prior to testing.
7.3 Students must meet attendance and effort requirements to be eligible for grading.
8.1 TR Martial Arts collects and stores personal information (names, dates of birth, contact details, payment details, and relevant medical information) to manage membership, deliver training, and ensure safety.
8.2 All data is handled in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
8.3 Data will only be used for membership administration, class communication, attendance records, gradings, safeguarding, and insurance purposes.
8.4 TR Martial Arts does not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing. Data may be shared with trusted providers (e.g. payment processors, insurers).
8.5 Parents/students may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data, subject to legal/insurance obligations.
8.6 Photos and videos may be used for TR Martial Arts promotional purposes unless parents/students opt out in writing.
8.7 Data will be retained for up to 7 years after membership ends (or until the student turns 21 if under 18 at the time of training).
9.1 Complaints should be submitted in writing to the School Owner.
9.2 TR Martial Arts will acknowledge complaints within 7 working days and aim to resolve them within 28 days.
10.1 TR Martial Arts reserves the right to terminate membership for:
Persistent non-payment.
Breach of the code of conduct.
Behaviour endangering others or damaging the school’s reputation.
10.2 Outstanding payments remain due in full if membership is terminated under these conditions.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
By enrolling in the New Starter Programme, you confirm that you:
Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
Accept responsibility for completing your chosen payment option in full.
Understand that fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Consent to the use of your data as outlined in Section 8.
